Team MVR-D Suzuki rider, Mattis Karro, finally managed to show his true potential on the World stage at the weekend, as the young Latvian rode to an impressive 12th place overall at the Turkish Grand Prix, held in Istanbul. Following bad luck and injury in the opening round's of the championship, Karro rode to a pair of 13th place finishes, running promisingly inside the top-ten at times in both races, to eventually bring his RM-Z250 home in 12th place overall. In MX1, teammate James Noble, would build his performance through the weekend, despite suffering a crash in the first race, leaving him to remount and finish in a lowly 22nd. By race two, Noble would be back to form, charging through the field to another great 12th place, ending the weekend again as the highest placed Brit in 17th overall. Talking about his team's performance, MVR-D Suzuki boss, Mark Chamberlain, commented, "It's great to see Mattis finally show his potential in this championship. He's been dogged by bad luck and injury since the start, but has been able to show what he is capable of today. James on the other hand, has had his share of misfortune, but still comes away as the top Brit today and in the championship in 14th.
